Mel Barrett was born in 1990 into the inspirational setting of the Monterey Peninsula, a community that celebrates art and nature. The colorful, bold statement of Barrett’s multimedia artwork resonates with California’s Pop Surrealist art movement. Barrett’s body of work is a juxtaposition of various mediums and concepts created from traditional art media, such as oil and acrylic paint, as well as various forms of non-traditional media.
